Im a black boy in the 8th grade and I want to dress preppy but not too preppy. Kind of like Kanye West and rappers like him. What should I wear?

Kanye West is a big fan of Ralph Lauren....NOT Polo Ralph Lauren, just the regular Ralph Lauren. He took his 1st check and went and on a shopping spree there. Try Lacoste polos, Sean John, J.Crew....Bloomingdales and Nordstrom have alot of hip hop preppy clothes that are really nice.
Its all about a blend of good denim fits well but still loose, shirts that arent too big, layering, good use of color, and nice shoes that arent too ghetto. Make a statement with sunglasses or a good watch or chain. For the average person to have a statement watch look for the following and you wont have to spend a huge amount....large face, clean lines, either yellow gold or silver(but you can get stainless steel and save a ton of money), etc.
Google Kanye West photos and use those as inspiration but remember to add things that make the ensemble "you".

My friend always takes me shopping with him and he dresses similar to what you are looking for.
I suggest: Demo, CCS.com, Urban Behavior, Ralph Lauren, Timberland, Karmaloop.com, Lacoste, American Eagle, Journeys or Abercrombie.

Black guys wearing preppy clothing..Thats somthin I could fall in love with..I love it..I have a friend named nash..He wears cute preppy clothes and he is black..He wears alot from buckle...They can help you choose things there...And they will..But if you want somthing alittle less exspensive you could try AE... Try getting a pair of puma's...Thats cute...Oh and I could like make you a couple out fits online...If you want me to..

layered polos and semi fitted well starched jeans with matchin tennis shoes (perferably ones the same colors as the 2 shirts)

Short-sleeved polos.
Loose jeans.
Shop at American Eagle (especially for polos - NOT for t-shirts - just polos) and you'll be fine.
