After I had my son, my bust doubled in size. I swear they are killing my back, and it's hard to find shirts that fit in the bust without being big everywhere else. I'm only 5ft 3, 115 pds, and they really look way too big for my body. Here's the problem, my husband loves them....lol And I mean lovesssss them. I told him I'd like a breast reduction and he laughed and said that was crazy. I also hate the way ppl stare at me (my breasts) I have even had ppl ask if they are real and ask if they can touch them! I mean come on, I honestly don't know why any woman would get implants!

Having breast reduction surgery is YOUR choice. Ignore your husbands laughter, he should realize you NEED this surgery due to your back.

Have him wear a five pound bag of sugar around his neck for a day. See who is laughing then.

I totally agree with you, I dunno why a woman would want implants. $40 bras just to support your breasts. Ugh.

I had a breast reduction in Feb 2006 and went from a 38J to a 38C. Insurance covered it 100% because I had back/neck/shoulder pain, grooves in my shoulders from my heavy breasts, and rashes under my breasts. My fiance (who was my boyfriend at the time of the surgery) LOVES my boobs. They are perkier!!

Here is a site to check out:

http://www.breasthealthonline.com

There is a picture board on that site, it requires approval to view, but it it TOTALLY worth it, and helps show how people look and feel a lot better after a breast reduction. That board helped me out so much before and after my surgery.

Girl, if YOU want to get it done, DO IT. Ignore the laughing ignorant husband. If he truly loves you he will support you throughout this journey.

Good luck, and if you have any ?'s check out that site or gimme a holler.

Edit: For those saying about working out. It really depends on how much fatty tissue versus dense tissue is in her breasts. I've worked out and lost weight and didn't lose squat in my breasts. Plus working out with big breasts is no fun!

Also, even a properly fitted bra will not stop the pain in your back. Been there tried that.

Insurance should definitely cover at least some of your operation, should you decide to go ahead with it - it's not purely for cosmetic reasons, so I don't think there'll be a problem. You'll probably have to undergo some sort of assessment before getting the operation to see exactly how it is affecting you. My sister had her ears pinned back a few years ago and that's what she had to do, anyway. It is a pretty serious decision to make, but for so many women that's the only option. Definitely discuss it with your doctor and see what happens, and good luck! Also, I feel your pain - I'm a 36F, so I know how irritating they can be (and I know *all* about buying horrible bras!).

I can sympathize with you. My wife after having 3 kids her bust has gotten bigger, and she's been trying about anything she can to get them smaller other than surgery. And she's going through the same problems you are with back problems.

I'm sorry that your husband is being so insensitive about this, because if it's affecting your health and your self-esteem you need to do something about it, like the breast reduction surgery. I've told my wife that if that's what she wants to do, I totally support her in it.

Hope that things turn around for you soon.

Also at the end of your statement, there are women who are flat chested and those that have implants find that it gives them a boost of confidence.

It's your body, and your breasts are yours too...not hubby's. If they are causing you pain, and making you feel uncomfortable, then you should do what is right for you. You are worried about how he feels, but is he taking your feelings into consideration. He fell in love with you when you had smaller breasts, so I doubt he'll fall out of love if you have their size reduced.

Breast reduction should be a crime. NOOOO!!!! Why don't you try some back and abdominal exercises so you can better support those puppies? I can't believe how many dingbats get implants (which are gross), and then you want to REDUCE? Stop thinking about yourself and think more about your husband. Breast reduction would be like taking away a kid's favorite candy. Don't do it.

And I'm here to stop you from that....Who's with me ??

No seriously if its killing your back you should have them reduced a little . But also have them check for breast cancer...there might be other reason for them not going back to normal size.

I thinks it's a matter of what turns men on personally. If your husband likes them, well and god, but what about the strain that they are causing on your back. You must consider your health before the toys that he likes to play with.

You could try getting a good bra fitted properly! I'm a breast man too so I'd be sorry to see them reduced if I was your husband! I know it's selfish!
