Well I hate to say this but couldn't I be a pirate who was held captive by Samurai learned their secrets and escaped.
He'd be the only Samurai Pirate alive !

First off it's a loaded question. NOT ALL SAMURAI are amazing. NOT ALL PIRATES are clumsy drunks. NEither exist anymore. And the original question is Pirate Vs. Ninja. Now I vote for pirates even though i like samurai and ninja. Pirates have guns, swords, AXES, early GRENADES, LONG WEAPONS, SHIPS and more importantly LARGE NUMBERS OF PEOPLE. Samurai and ninja have a bunch of training and travel in small groups while pirates travel en masse. They don't need training to win. And don't say well what if it's one on one, it'd still be the pirate because of the gun.

I think a samurai would win because a samurai is trained intensely and needs an enormous amound of skill in order to fight as well good mental training. A pirate may know how to fight but all he basically does is wave a sword around trying to kill people.

If the pirate was Will Turner or Johnny Depp, then the pirate would win, just because they're more gorgeous than any samurai!
(But Tom Cruise is pretty hot....)

the pirates would do whatever it took to win
