I posted to pets concerning animal testing. I was not only given a violation notice, but my whole question was removed. There was nothing obscene, pronographic, or an attempt to advertise or sell anything. The only thing I can guess is that I used the initials of PETA in my post. So, what is O.K. to say? I just want to keep the issues of animal cruelty in people's minds and try to champion tougher penalties for perpetrators.

I didn't say my rights were violated(read it) I said I was given a violation notice. I don't belong to PETA but I do belong to the ASPCA. I will always champion the rights of animals and that is thinking for myself.

Wow, I think that is absolutely ridiculous and a violation of your rights that your post was removed. I think it is great that you are asking questions about animal cruelty and making more people aware of the alarming situation. I can honestly tell you I was not aware of many of the horrible things that people put animals through until I saw this video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=uGmIWAqw2y8 and began to do some research. I think more people should attempt to do what you have.

Did you provide graphic links (pictures, videos of animals being hurt)? I don't know if that's against policy but possibly a reason.

They did not "violate your rights" by removing your post, as another answerer said. You do have the right of freedom of speech, but as this is a privately owned website with the RIGHT to regulate what is posted here, they can (legally and morally) refuse you the ability to say things here.

By the way, PETA is a crock of bull, time to pull your head out and think for yourself.

I don't know why you would've been given a violation, but people can be reported just because somebody didn't like what they said.

It could be that P*E*T*A is a trademarked name. Try reposting it with the spelling a little different...P*E*T*A, etc. Depending on what you posted, ie. descriptions of what goes on during animal testing, it may have been considered violent, even though you meant no wrong.

Good luck!

You have to be posting QUESTIONS- not propaganda about supporting PETA (Please Eat The Animals)... that's what you did wrong.
