I was just insulted by some weirdo on MySpace who said I shouldn't be a certain political party, but I know know what I am, or what I would/should be. I don't understand them at all. I know they have differences, but I just don't know what they are. So what are all the political parties (in the U.S.), and what do they believe/stand for?

Well, you have the two major media / corporate parties, the Democrats and the Republicans.

The Democrats practice inclusive politics, which is why the tent is so big and filled with Americans from all walks of life

The Republicans believe in exclusivity, and since the base foundation of their party ideology is conservatism, they are reluctant to change of any kind. Many Republicans would love for it to be Mayberry RFD, 1953 all day all night forever and ever amen

According to Wikipedia, there are over 50 different political parties. The most popular are Democratic, Republican, Green, Libertarian, and Constitution.

A lot of the smaller parties usually only have a few issues. Parties seperate themselves on stances dealing with personal freedom, social programs, enviroment, and society.
