To upgrade to Vista, you'll need at least 1GB of ram and a DirectX 9 graphics card with 128MB of ram. That will cost about $130. A new desktop isn't worth it unless you're going to pay the extra to get dual core, since your current system would be about equal to a new $300 system after you upgrade it. Macs are expensive.

DX9 cards:
Geforce FX (5) series, 6 series, 7 series, or higher
Radeon 9 series (9500 or higher), X series, X1k series, or higher

i would upgrade what u have add more ram and a new video card, after adding ram u may get by with present video card, but would be better off w/a new one! go to vista upgrade advisor and let it run a scan it will display what u have and recommend what u need!

You'd be disappointed with the Mini if you don't max out the memory. If you want OS X, then buy an iMac or macbook/pro. Stay away from the minis unless you MAX out memory when buying.

You could get a new PC for the same price of the upgrades. GO to dell.com they have some good computers at reasonable prices.

Buy something new, because u can up grade what u have, but it can only go so far. And if u get a new computer it will last a bit longer.
