I was thinking of getting one. But do they cut sharp or do they loose their sharp blades and don't cut well? I'm sure u have to keep them oiled and sharpen ay all times? Which ones are good that are out there now in shops?

I have a large lawn but it has a lot of trees and flower beds so I opted for a self propelled mower instead of a rider or push mower. You do have to maintain the oil and sharpen the blade at least once a year.

Rotary blade push mowers cut much better than power mowers because they actually cut the grass like scissors. A power mower chops the grass blades leaving ragged edges which can damage the grass.

If you are asking about the kind that have no engine and rotary cutting blades, then I have heard that they are the best! The cut is much better than the normal gas powered single blade mower. They also do not pollute the air or wake up the neighbors and they provide good exercise for the user. I used one for my yard many years ago and it was not as difficult as I thought it would be.

I have a neighbour that is using this type of mower and he has a well groomed lawn. With the environmental issues we're having now a days I'll recommend you'll go for this type. You'll have a good exercise plus you can lessen your carbon footprints and save some money from the skyrocketing gas prices.

the mowers today are better than a few years ago, but if you have a yard bigger than one-tenth of an acre, it's best to get a gas powered lawn mower. If not you will have to go over your yard, several times to get it even.

No, they're crap. Buy a powered mower, they're more efficient and the price is nearly the same.
