What time period is your book set in? And what country?
I think that Jack Avery sounds good for a modern American book.
Cash Avery would be great for a book set in the early days of the American west.

Aubrey Taylor is quite androgynous - intentional? I like a unisex name w/ a gender specific one to eliminate confusion. (Aubrey Elizabeth, Aubrey Rose, etc.) For example, my daughter's name is Ryanne (Ryan) Janae (spelled feminine intentionally) - so I made sure my son's name was clearly male - Seth Michael. If I had named him something such as Jordan people would always assume assume he was "Ryan" when introducing both.
Of course in Bridge to Terabithia both characters had "unisex" names - Leslie (g) and Jess (b), but Leslie was a bit of a Tom boy, so it fit her.
