I'm so glad you asked this question. No doubt Kobe's one of the best players in the league, but his team is in 6th in the west and he's getting more of the spotlight than the Mavericks, Suns, Spurs, and Pistons, the contendors.
Sick of Kobe and sick of the lakers!!!

I'm gonna be honest.
I used to hate Kobe Bryant. I used to hate how he shot and didn't involve Shaq enough. I used to love watching him loose. I used to hate to hear him speak. And I hoped to God that he got convicted of rape 2 years ago. But let's be honest...
Kobe Bryant is the only person not on the Mavericks, Suns, or Spurs that gives a **** in this league anymore. Phil Jackson told Kobe that he needs to score more to win. Yes, making 50 a priority seems a little extreme, but the Lakers are 4-0 during this remarkable streak and they need Kobe to be good there's no doubt about it. He's no MVP, but he's still the greatest talent we have in the NBA and if the Lakers are winning, I don't have a problem with him scoring this much. I love watching Kobe play and score at will. You have to admit it's just unbeliveable the talent this guy has. I'm not a Kobe-the-person fan and I'm not a Laker fan (I live in Philadelphia) but I love Kobe-the-player, and he's too good a talent to let this streak look bad. I have no problem with this at all.

Don't mind at all, Kobe got his teamates involved all year like he was supposed to but the lakers are dealing with a lot of injuries this year and the role players haven't had time to click
why shouldn't you mind Kobe's increase in points? He has his coach's blessing who told him to start being more aggresive and the other reason is during this stretch Kobe is shooting almost 55% from the field those are high quality shots especially from a perimeter player
it is the second longest streak of all time behind the man who averaged over 50 for a season. He's in elite company and all record attempts should be mentioned

So what if he is, he needs to be, his team also won all those games..Damn, why do people always have to hate on greatness. Not even the great Micheal Jordan has ever scored 50 points in 4 straight games...and in this case Kobe needs to be a ball hog, because of all the injuries the Lakers have, this isn't about playing fair, let everybody shoot, I want Kobe to shoot the ball everytime he touches it, because more likely than not, its going in!!!!!!!!

Kobe is good, but with all the points he is scoring and the Lakers are barely pulling off victories. It seems that there are a lot of people good players that if they took 35 to 40 shots a night would score 50 pts a game but it's all about team play to win a championship.

No, he's shooting a lot right now because he team is CURRENTLY sucking (I'll give ya that). And if there's one thing Kobe doesn't like, it's losing. So he's doing whatever he can to avoid it, and right now, that means scoring 50 a game.
And how could anyone NOT talk about him. How many other players have scored 50+ four straight games...ONE!

You are just an idiot.
Kobe doesn't want to be like "all those great players", he IS a great player.
Got 50+ points 4 games in a row, all 4 wins for Lakers.

You are lucky to be around when Kobe is playing, you can call him ball hog all you want but do not forget to watch, it will be some time before you see his like again. And skip the "may be..." stuff.
I can understand someone not liking a player. But to hope to God he gets convicted of rape. What kind of person says that? It turned out that this woman was a fruitcake. Kobe paid her off just to get her to go away, she got what she wanted. What Kobe was was very foolish but that is not a crime.

I totally agree with you. When his face comes on tv I quickly change to something else. In the 4 games he scored over 50 he has shot the ball 140 times and has only 11 assists.
