Got any 'check engine ' light coming on? and staying on? It may be running in the 'Limp Home Mode' for some reason. You need to get to a repair garage as there are a number of things that can cause this condition, such as vacuum leaks, TPS Throttle Position Sensor, and so on.

This happened on my 1999 Toyota 4-Runner. I took it to the shop and they fixed it for about $200. Something was wrong with the idleing. It idles fine now.
