It must be so since everytime I go to waldenbooks there are never any black people in there, they are always around the jewelery booths or cell phone stores.

First of all you can't generalize as " black people ". The World Bank basically controlls the money that most countries contain. And 10,000 of those business men are black. My mom controlls Ecuador, Bolivia, and Peru's overall budget and she is black. And if it takes a 12 year old to tell you that then you better watch your tongue mister before you get into trouble.

I think you have a fair statement if you say that books are like kryptonite to the hip-hop ghetto mentality, that is prevalent in the black community.
Not all black people are like this. I think the ghetto mindset can also apply to other races.

Wow. That is incredibly ignorant. I know plenty of black people who read, my mother and myself being just two of many others. Just because there aren't any black people in the bookstore you went into doesn't mean black people don't read. I know for a fact alot go to the library and check books out.

I'm not dis-agreeing that the statement is racist... but I think it's hilarious that so many people are calling you a racist when you're simply quoting something that a black comedian has already said many times... and last time I watched him use this joke in his stand-up... I think the audience laughed histerically, and I'm positive it wasn't an audience full of "rednecks" and "ignorant white people".

Wow you're ignorant. I read everyday, but you wouldn't find me in a bookstore because I order my books online since most stores don't have a good selection of Christian authors.
