You can bleed after having a baby from 1 day to 8 weeks. If you are the least bit worried ask your doctor. Did you have a 6 week check-up afterward, if so and they werent worried I wouldnt be either. As long as you arent passing large blood clots you should be fine. Also if you went on birthcontrol as soon as you had the baby that can also make you bleed.

It will be a couple months before you get your period again.
If you have been bleeding for 2 months after having a baby you should bring this to your doctor's attention. If he doesn't see anything wrong you probably just need to rest more. I know having a 2-month old means getting no rest but when you can sit and relax. Your body needs time to heal and if you are too active your body can't repair itself and will continue to bleed.

I didn't have my period for two months. My period came about 5 weeks after giving birth and it lasted 3 days. I'm sure it is different for everyone, but if you breast feed, you won't have your period for 6 months to a year which is great. It is normal for them to be long and heavy though. It just depends on how well your body has healed.

I didn't, no. It took 2 months for my period to come back but when it did, it lasted the usual time.
Each woman is different though, but 2 months is extreme. I suggest seeing your OB.
I wish you the best!

I believe your talking about the post pardum bleeding? The average seems to be about 6 weeks. I bled 6 weeks to the day after having my son. Some can bleed less time, some more. Good luck.
