In Richardson, North of Dallas, there's Tong's House in the Promenade Plaza. Good food with a lot of first and second generation Asians eating there.
If that place happened to close while I've been gone, go on the other side of Central Expressway, while still in Richardson, and on Greenville Avenue you'll find a bunch of Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese restaurants.

Im from NY and was REALLLLLLY disappointed in the chinese food when I got here. But, we like to go to Howard Wangs. Its off of Northwest Highway and Midway. Its very clean, and I know the staff there. Howard uses the best cuts of meat so you dont get some funky mystery stuff on your plate. The food is really good- I hope you like it!

In Lancaster, off of I35 and Pleasant Run Ton's is a great Chinese food. They have several locations but I like this one the best.

On Walnut east of Central is an Oriental neighborhood. Several great places there or on Greenville Ave. North of Beltline.
