I saw the exhibits in Texas and in Vegas. They were both interesting, and both different.

I liked the Texas exhibit last year, because it had more emphasis on disease and the dangers of obesity (a slice of an extremely overweight person with adipose tissue), which I thought was a great idea, considering that such consequences are among the most common causes of death in the USA (heart disease....). The exhibit in Vegas was still interesting, but I missed the horse-and-rider (for comparative anatomy) which was in the Dallas exhibit.

I think that the exhibitors probably covered their arses legally, and if someone donates their body to medical education and research... how cool is that (rather than to be dissected in a cold classroom where there is no real "art" and after the semester is over, your remains are... well, who knows what they do with them!).

If I had known that the exhibits would be different, I would have caught the one in NYC while I was there :)

My family and I saw The Bodies exhibit in Tampa. It was presented quite tastefully, each room having a somewhat somber air. One man was chastised for answering his phone in one of the rooms. I even took my five year old. The staff was extremely helpful, leading children from piece to piece, explaining the muscles and organs. Overall, it was an excellent experience and one that I would repeat without hesitation.

It was FANTASTIC!! So interesting to see real parts of the human body like that. Many comparisons to diseased and normal organs. Anyone smoking would want to quit after seeing smoker's lungs. Cool to see artificial knee joints, hip joints and heart valves too. Highly recommend it. If you have a chance to see it, don't miss it.

I saw it in Orlando. We rented the headphone things to guide us around and explain things. I'm a nurse and I adored it. I can not understand what all the fuss in the press was about!!
I wish they would bring it around again!!

I guess maybe because I work in the medical field it did not fascinate me. However, I thought that it was quite beneficial for lay persons not in that field.
