i wanna kno do college football players (like penn state guys) get to keep their helmets and jerseys - for keepsake purpose when they graduate? do they gots to pay for this equipment -- how much?

also do they have letter (varsity) jacket programs at most colleges like this??

No, But they can keep most everything except the helmet, pads, pants. Normally the school will furnish a jacket with the years they lettered in football. Those helmets cost about $250.00.

Some things they do and some not. Helmets - NO, shoulder pads - NO, pants - NO, other pads - NO, jock straps - uh YES, socks - YES, shoes - YES, jerseys - usually YES, mouth pieces - YES, socks - YES. Most places sell letterman jackets but I cannot tell you specifics.

For goodness sake - do not use "gots" That is atrocious English.
