I'll ask my kids and get back to you. They're really good at "blocking out voices".

I am able to block out all noises around me. But I came from a Very large family, so it was necessary for me block them out to remain sane. It just kind of came naturally to me because there was always Noise in my house. So I think you just have to be in a noisy area and practice.

Imagine yourself pushing against a brick wall... all the voices are bouncing off the wall... you can't hear them, you just see the words, unable to penetrate.
Only focus on the image of you pushing against the brick wall...
This is a tool for insomniacs who can't turn off their mind.

If the voices are OUTside your head, ear plugs.
If they're inside, tell them to be quiet, you're trying to work. And if they don't listen, put them in time out.

Keep a strong focus of what you want and what you believe and naturally, the other voices just won't matter.

Put on music or something..it always helps me when people are arguing at my place.
Or else..go take a walk and hopefully, when you come back- you'll be fresh and the noise will be gone =].

Play a video game. Eventually you won't be able to pay attention to them. But first, listen to what they have to say. They could be right...
