Hahahaha I love this question.......

Lil Wayne and Birdman both have claimed to be affiliated with the bloods. In a XXL magazine i read awhile back, they asked him about this and he said he was affiliated. However, he is the only one that I know of that has ever said anything about this...for example on the song Drop It Like It's Hot from the Young Money Dedication mixtape, Wayne spits "I keep a red flag// representin uptown// only on the right side// f*ckin with them bloods now".

All this means to me is that Lil Wayne wanted some street cred since he was the last Hot Boy left after literally EVERYONE left the label and needed he a new image. also, gang members have a habit of thowing their colors somewhere in their outfit, and if Wayne was really a blood we would have seen this ever since the Hot Boys days. I remember him wearing all blue on Rap City hitting the booth when he was younger, I'm sure its on YouTube. Also, on the cover of the Big Tymers album I Got That Work, Birdman is in a blue hoodie and Mannie Fresh is in a blue hoodie also with the matching blue bandana. That doesnt mean bloods always wear red and never wear blue, but I have noticed some things about Wayne that make me think he lies, a lot.

He lied about his age, when he was arrested the police report revealed he was born in 79, not 82. Something else that makes me wonder is that when younger artists like Jeezy, Clipse, and Dipset made coke rap super popular, somehow Wayne magically started selling coke or claimed he did in the past. He never rapped about it when he was younger, even though artists like Jay-Z and UGK did....you have to remember Wayne has been in it for awhile, he spit freestyles for Baby when he was 11 or 12 and they picked him up at that young age. If he was a rapper that young, he must have either sold coke and became a blood when he was a rapper(unlikely, why would he need drug money) OR sold coke and became a blood when he was 10 or younger...? (even more unlikely).

I wondered if wayne n birdman were bloods too before, and i came to the conclusion that Wayne is Birdmans little pawn(he was probably brainwashed because they got him at such a young age and didnt realize/believe that Birdman stole money from everyone on the label, causing them to leave Cash Money and diss them like B.G., Turk, and Juvenile) and probably decided around the Young Money Dedication/Carter 1/Carter 2 time period that they should change up their image (coke rap and bloods?) to sell more records. This made Wayne popular with the mainstream, Wayne claimed to not write raps like Jay-Z, and Birdman was probably told him to keep doing whatever sells, and there u go, 2 coke selling bloods out of nowhere. I say no they arent members of the bloods gang, but after what I just told you, you can make your own decision.

Blood Gang Member

couple things, there are very few rappers who have ever actually even been in a gang, let alone ones who still are. snoop, the game, ice t and eazy e are examples of rappers who were once in a real gang.

Today's mainstream rappers tend to pretend to be in gangs because kids such as yourself think its cool to glorify gangs and gang violence.

First let bob give you a little history on gangs.
As you may know bloods and crips originated from LA, with the crips coming first followed by crip on crip violence which lead to the creation of the bloods. There is no just blood or crip gang, they came in sets for example rollin 20 crips was a example of a crip set, the sets were based on the area and associates. Crips and bloods fight because the blood gang was made in retaliation for crip violence and crips dominance and because a lot of family members and close friends are killed and retaliation is made that is the circle of life. However because of the media coverage, just about everyone in the nation knows that there are two gangs who fight called crips and bloods, but know literaly ntohign else. so they go and make their own crip and blood gangs. law enforcement has come to refer to the original LA crip and blood sets as official and the new sets unofficial. Very few sets outside of LA are considered official. Unofficial sets tend to be less violent, if violent at all and tend to be on the mind set of crips hate bloods and visa versa and the mind set that all crips are united and visa versa and are more prone to advertising that they are in a "gang" to try to get people to think they are cool and ****. However original sets have more of a mindset that they think mostly about their individual set and not all other sets that carry the same name and are not afraid of crip on crip and blood on blood violence.

Some places are notorious for having many unofficial sets, such places as Atlanta and New Orleans, so even if they claimed to be a member of a gang it would be a unofficial set.

the moral is gangs are not fun or cool, no matter what the rappers on tv say and when rappers try to glorify gangs and gang violence and pretend to be in a gang you already know their stupid and have never been in a gang.

I pretty sure that's not true

bloods have tendency to be very proud of their membership, and neither Wayne or Baby ever talk about that
