see if you can give or sell it to a junkyard or a used parts seller. Also ask recycling companies if they're interested. You can also ask an auto body shop for advice. Or toss it in the garbage and see what happens.

Old on? Or do you mean "old one"?
Well, I would first suggest that you proofread your work. You had me confused there for a while
As far as getting rid of you old bumper, there are several alternatives that won't cost you more than a few minutes of your time.
Advertise it on craigslist. If you really want to get rid of it, make it free. Many communities have free papers and free or almost free classified ads. You never know, someone may have had a minor accident that damaged his orher bumper, and would be glad to pay your $50 or more for your old one even if the color doesn't match.
Auction it off on Ebay if you are willing to pay the listing fees.
You didn't say, but if the bumper is made out of metal it may have some scrap value. Ever hear of a phone book? Open it up and look. Recyclers.
If it just a modern fiberglass / plastic POS, then just hack it up with a Milwaukee Sawzall and put it in the trash.

Take it to a scrap yard or if you have Pick n' Pull near by. They normaly pay for the bumpers probably only a few bucks but you'll get some money out of it.

if the bumper is in good condition you should sell it on ebay, just be sure what the shipping is going to cost because usually they have to go heavy freight and it could be upwards of over one hundred dollars (US)
Also, you should consider keeping it as any body kit modifications usually lessen the trade value of your vehicle and you might want to change it back to original for a greater trade or resale value.

If you get the bumper off whole and intact, it's worth money. Try Craigslist, eBay or calling a few junkyards around.
