Scripture says we are new creatures in Christ Jesus. Being a Chrisitian has changed me over the years. Perhaps more so in the last five years than ever before.
I have to stop and ask, is it a change in my being or just mellowing out into old age? I ask this because the change has been so profound. I like the testimoney of a young woman who said -- "I may not be what I should be. But I'm not what I used to be." Something is going on inside a lot of people.
What does it mean? Well Scripture says that God started a new creation at Calvary 2,000 years ago. It says He is going to create a new heaven and new earth wherein dwelleth righteouness. Looking at the mess in this world today, that seems a big order and maybe a failure. Scripture doesn't call for any Big Bang. So how and when will this happen?
Scripture also says that God is going to "sum up all things in Christ Jesus." So what does that mean? It means that over the past 2,000 years, in anybody that is called and willing, that God has been cloning Christ Jesus in believers; and now moreso than ever.
St. Paul understood this as did other early Christians but it was not time for this to manifest and they didn't understand it as cloning. They knew they had to die out to themselves. St. Paul said. "Not I but Christ liveth in me. And let this mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus." Another quote, among hundreds, is "He must increase but I must decrease."
This whole thing is about reproducing Christ. It is not about religious orders and sacraments. In Ephesians 4:13 it says all Christian work is for "...the edifying of the body of Christ; Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ."
This last sentence is an awesome thing. How, tell me, do you measure the height of the quality of the fulness? I don't know, but I know there is a life of expectation within me that flows with peace and joy unspeakable.

First of all , being a christian means being christ like... To become a christian we must die out to the earthly man and become a new creature through repentance,( making an about face, Quit doing what you know is a sin), being baptized and receiving the holy ghost with the initial evidence of speaking in other tounges as the spirit gives the utterance. It works, I got it several years back. No I am not perfect but forgiven.....

properly such as you stated on your question, that's what devil does. And as for the specifics: what extra ideal way is there to tempt you? devil is familiar with that the ideal thank you to tempt a drug addict attempting to reform him/herself is with drugs. the least complicated thank you to tempt a gay (of each physique else) is with the help of eye-catching human beings. yet I genuinely does no longer flow so a techniques as to declare that "the sins of the previous nonetheless carry over to the hot". it extremely isn't genuine. in case you make an apology, then you certainly would be forgiven. attempting to alter your self, and giving up one's previous sinful techniques is complicated, and devil is going to do each little thing in his potential to make you provide up. yet you do initiate with a "sparkling slate". That of direction is pertaining to the state of your soul. purely because of fact your soul has been cleansed (to a element) does no longer mean that the international has been cleansed. All that temptation is going to be there nonetheless. that's purely as much as you to easily be confident you are not getting tempted. And in spite of if it blows, the ideal thank you to no longer be tempted is to head your self a techniques far off from the temptation. To sum all of it up, and to respond to your question: because's what works ideal interior the eyes of devil.
