I was offered a job as a mother's helper for a few hours on a few nights per week. I have experience, I met the kids and we got along well, but I have no idea what I should be getting paid. They offered $8 per hour for helping out with three one-year-olds. There will be an adult present in the house while I work though, they'll just be answering business calls or doing chores though. Anyone have any idea if this is a good wage? Thanks!

If you enjoy working with children, then that seems like a fairly reasonable wage to me. In my babysitting days, I got a whopping 2 bucks an hour for five children(9 months, 2, 3, 5, and 7)with no other adults around. And they weren't exactly little angels. I would take 8 definately.

Well, $8 per hour is a bit much for a mother's helper, but if they're offering, take it!
