Hi Dina,
Pregnancy is usually counted by weeks (40 weeks), which would add up to more than 9 months, but that's because months are not exactly 28 days. It is a bit confusing but some pregnancy months count as 4 weeks and other count as 5 weeks.
To make it very simple, I have a link for you that will help you turn pregnancy weeks into months and vice versa: http://www.baby2see.com/pregnancylength.html

Pregnancy is actually calculated in weeks, 40 to be exact. That is a normal gestation for the average baby. Normal is anywhere from 37 weeks to 42 weeks. You are actually pregnant 10 months. Last period in September would put you due in June.

The average pregnancy is 40 weeks from the 1st day of your last period. That makes your due date June 18.

Congratulations.

Hi hon. First of all congratulations:) Second please ask your doctor again, to confirm your EstimatedDue Date. I am pregnant now with our first baby, and it has confused me to because my period came and they said I was pregnant during that time. So I am going to my doctor on April 4 to find out exactly what my due date is. Everyone that sees me says I look further than 25 weeks. They say I look about a month more, also my baby kicks me alot and she is extremely active. In my ultrasound, she looks beautiful and human like already.. another weird thing. You have to let you doctor know that your confused, she should be able to put your mind at ease, or she is not a good doctor! You need to feel at ease and relax. Good Luck..

Your pregnancy is 40 weeks long. It is for 9 months, but when they count by weeks, that will make it 10 months. 10 months being 4 weeks in each month....but in reality a few of the months will have 5 weeks in them, so when you count it by the calendar, it is 9 months........I hope you can understand how Im explaining it.

pregnancy is really 10 months if you say that each month has four weeks. Don't worry about the months, worry about the weeks. That is what is important. :-) Good Luck
