Nah, my wife for the most part hates the stuff I listen to, for example she hates double bass drums, and if she does like a song in the music styles I listen to it's usually some song or band I can't stand anymore. Actually it's me that shocks her when I actually like something she does.

Let me tell you this ...never change for someone unless its realy a problem. If your music is clean as in non offensive its shouldnt be a problem. You are an individual and Music at least to me is very important. if i just stopped listening to what I like id go crazy. If he loves you he wont care.

Of course it's not bad - you're each your own person, and that's fine. You may learn to appreciate each other's favorite music. Keep an open mind. If it doesn't happen, it doesn't happen. Find a music style you both like to listen to when you're together.

Unless your a music freak, no. And if he hates your music, than thats his problem. If he cant work through this little issue he's having, that means he's not completely deticated. Than it never would have worked out in the first place.

As long as you can find a good compromise when it comes to listening to music when you are together. My hubby likes lots of music I don't and hates a lot of stuff I like.

My ex and I went through the same thing (He is not my ex becuase of my music, trust me) I'm more Breaking Benjamin and Evanescence and he preferred Lil' Jon and The Game. You never know, you may both discover at least one or two songs you like from the music your sig. other listens to.

Music is not a thing to base a relationship on. You just have to compromise, as with many things.

How long have you two been together? If it's only been a couple months, dump him. But, if you have been together a year or more, well, it's just too bad for him.
