My last period was Jan.12,i took a preg test on Feb.22nd (which was positive) so i should be 10 weeks now, however i have been spotting for 4 days now,saw my OB & he did a u/s which only showed the sac of waters-nothing in it,he said is possible i am not as far along as i think. How would i figure that out ? I am worried it may be a m/c & i have gotten my hcg levels checked(which looked good) & will get them checked again on Mon. to make sure they are rising. Anyone have any experience with this & when would something show up on u/s?

my last period was jan 5th so i went to 1 doctor who said yea ok your 9 weeks but i wasnt comfortable with that answer so i went to a place called alternate avenues which did a abdominal u/s and only saw a sac also so she did a vaginal u/s and got a good clear picture of the baby and we heard a heart beat it was so cool i was only 5 weeks with the first opinion going by lmp but with 2 u/s's im now a confirmed 8 weeks so the first doc was way off!! so ask for a vaginal cause they can see smaller babies and you can hear the heartbeat which will help you can stop stressing about m/c

It is very possible that you arent as prego as you thought. I have taken tests a week after becoming prego and it came back positive. I am not sure exactly how long it takes for anything to show up in the sac after conception, BUT I have also had an ultrasound and nothing show up, but then have a vaginal ultrasound and we were able to see the starting of a baby (looked more like mr peanut). I wouldnt worry until you get yur hormone levels checked though, also by going by those they should be able to tell you exactly how far along you are, then you can narrow it down better as to when you got prego. Good luck!

not all women have the same amount of time in their cycle. some women ovulate on day 14 others day 18 and some day 10. There is a possiblity that you are not as far along as you think you are.

Good luck!

I might wait till you pass over you interval. Sometimes the assessments can learn a fake preg. If you pass over you interval do one other scan to affirm after which use your final interval March one million-five as your usual interval and depend from there. Once you pass over your interval you will have to be four weeks. Good Luck

from what I was told when I was pregnant, you start counting from the last day of your period, and the baby is conceived ten days after that. for example, when I was pregnant, my last day was Apr. 26 and I conceived May 5th. it may be different for each person, but that what I was told.
