Last year at the end of may I hit the bottom of my knee cap on the corner of a cement wall. I was immediately taken to the hospital where they took x-rays and such. They discovered that my knee cap was out of place and re-adjusted it (frick did that ever hurt!) I was given T3's and crutches. I went for a check-up a month later and was found to be fine and that my knee shouldn't bother me anymore. However I have found that my knee is in almost constant pain when I stand or even sit for more than an hour. I was comparing both of my knees and noticed that my left knee cap (the one that was hurt) was at least 3 cm off in comparison to the other. I then went to the doctor but he said that it was nothing to worry about and sent me home. He didn't even do anything, he just glanced at it. I tried going to another doctor but was told that they won't do anything without my doctor's approval. I don't know what to do know.

Get a second opinion. Go to another doctor and see what he says.

Have you seen an Orthopedic specialist/surgeon? If not (and even if you have), tell your first doctor that since you are still experiencing pain almost a year later in the knee you injured, you want to seek a second opinion. There should be no problem with this if he really believes that there is nothing wrong...and by the way, it's YOUR money you'll end up spending anyway! The orthopedic specialist may require an MRI which gives a better image than an x-ray most of the time. This way they can tell if there is damage that was done that they couldn't pick up with the X-ray. Ask around for a doctor that has a good reputation. Good luck!

I know exactly where you need to go because I have been there where you are many times.

What do you do when doctor's the experts of their field don't have a cure?

In 1986, a brain aneurysm developed and the doctor's said I wasn't going to make it through the night. Today I am desperately trying to encourage you not to give up because there is hope.

In 1989, a log carrier totaled my car and when I went back to see my car in the junk yard. I fell to my needs and lifted my hands to the sky and said, "God what do you want of me."

Mind you, I wasn't raised in the church, but my God if you could have seen that 5th Avenue twisted, you would have wondered too. How did they get out alive?

In 2003, I was sent to the emergency room because my fever was too high. During the three month stay in the hospital I died twice and the doctor's told my family if I survived the operation I would be a vegetable.

In 2007, I am encouraging you to put your trust now in Jesus.

After all the docctor's have failed. There one more that can surely turn your circumstances around.

How did you pay those doctor's to try to heal you? With money.

How will Jesus heal you? With faith. Grab his promises and run away with them .

Read the book of Mark in the Bible and claim all of the healing scriptures for yourself.

This will take time and not money. Do this confession everyday. And I declare victory from pain you will find. How long should you confess? For as long as it takes.

Also check into natural medicines. herbs, Noni, Monavie, fruitavia.

God Bless

Both of my knees are in horrible condition because of sports injuries. They hurt almost 24/7 and I can't sit/stand for too long before they start killing me.

I've been to TWO doctors and they LITERALLY told me that I must be mental because they can't find anything wrong with them. I've had numerous X-rays and MRIs, but, they still find nothing wrong. My knees hurt almost all the time, my doctors are quacks.

I'd go get a second, third, or fourth opinion. Good luck!

Find another doctor and let him know that what you are looking for is a second opinion. If they have to get your doctor's approval then so be it but it is obviously not normal to be in constant pain, if your original doctor is refusing to look deeper into the problem then you have every right to another opinion

That just doesn't sound normal that another doctor won't help you without the other doctor's approval......did you explain about it still hurting and the first Dr. is not doing anything for you?......go to still another Dr. and see what he says......maybe don't tell you have seen the others......just a thought.

The first doctor does not have a monopoly on you, try again to see another doctor. You have the right to see which ever doctor you want. If they question you again who treated you, just tell them that the other guy couldn't do you any good, and he is no longer your doctor.

I'm sure alot of your responses will most likely be the same. You need to get a second opinion. You will find a doctor who is willing to help you. Good luck.
