MADD= mothers against drunk drivers. do they have any specific clothes to wear on meetings? any badges? do they do anything special like fundraising? if so, why? i would appreciate anything that sets these mothers apart from everybody else. i just need the characteristics of the members of MADD for my anthro project!

They are human beings. they may or may not be mothers. They aver that people should not drink alcohol and then drive a motorized vehicle. It is not a social club.

We don't like to have our 8 year old nieces run down by a drunk driver, in her own yard, on her birthday. There are no uniforms or badges. Some chapters raise funds but mostly raise awareness. The MADD accepts men and women and kids of all ages. You don't have to pay dues to attend a meeting. The members come from all areas of society and don't have to be a drunk driver's victim to join.

They all sat down at a meeting one

night and watched a Dirty Harry movie.

When he said "a man's gotta know his

limitations", they all looked at each other

and said "That's just not right."
