A hysterectomy is a removal of the uterus, or womb.

It may also include the removal of the ovaries and/or cervix depending on the situation.

Hysterectomies are the second most common operations among women in th United states. Hope that clears things up. :)

It is a surgical procedure to remove a woman's female organs. After this procedure she will no longer be able to bear children.
