As stated above it is still on.
I think the reason the ratings for AA and other left wing radio are not higher is that liberals and independent thinkers for the most part are more well informed on the events of the day.
We tend to get our information from multiple sources and then use cognitive thinking to make up our minds, and change our thinking if new facts make themselves available.

There is simply no need to listen to the same thing being repeated over and over again, this tends to interrupt your thought process and creates group think. It is especially dangerous if it is misinformation being spoon fed to the masses.

This is why there has been restrictions in this country on ownership of media outlets in the same areas for a long time.
Until now that is, those safeguards of the public's right to know have now vanished.

Because the criminal Republican elites in America have perverted the Christian religion to promote own nefarious activities. And sadly the good average American things liberal is a dirty word, and that the few living of the sweat of the many is a good thing.
So not enough people listened to the Radio... plus Liberals like the internet.

Hey Matt, before you shoot your mouth off on the world wide web, you may want to do some fact checking first.

Air America has not failed, and, if you had a clue instead of misinformation, you would know that the company was just purchased by a media mogul and will be coming out of self imposed bankruptcy.

Since you seem to lack the fundementals behind the subject matter you have framed here, please allow me to point out something that I doubt you are aware of:

Air America is a stand alone network. It is like Fox News. Everything it takes to get programming on the air is done soley by Air America.
Now, the "personalities", if you will, on right wing hate radio, are simply employees of gigantic corporate media conglamerates. They clock in, they spew the days talking points, they clock out, they laugh at you all the way to the bank.
Now, if you want to talk true competition with Air America, there is none. There is no full time right wing radio network in America, and, there never will be since the right in this country is afraid to fail

Because no one, not even the left, wants to sit around all day and listen to "Bush is the Devil" and "American soldiers are killing innocent Iraqi's" all day long.

Also, few sponsors wanted to be affiliated with them because of their lunatic fringe view points.

The bottom line, the exact thing that drives America, one of the things Air America hates,CAPITALISM, is what killed them. No listeners + lunacy = No sponsors.

George Soros can only completely fund it for so long and even he will finally bow to the almighty dollar.

It was a mercy killing as far as I am concerned.
