If the stats at the back of the card has only a 1 year line stat is it a rookie card?

Yes and no.

No, because Rookie Cards especially the current issues should show the player's high school or college stats. When rookie cards are being printed, the players are still playing their first season or haven't. If a card has a 1 year line stat, that means it's a First Year Card.

Yes, for some of the older issues. Take for example a 1990-91 Hoops rookie card of Shawn Kemp. Kemp was drafted in 1989 but his RC was only issued in the next NBA season. Therefore his First Year Card with his 1 line stat was considered his RC.

No, if the card has one year of expirience for the player, it is not a rookie. UNLESS... the year it has is his college/H.S year stats.
