Just like the rest said, a goalie gets points for either scoring or getting an assist. Billie Smith was the first to be given credit for a goal when his team had a penalty called against them (Islanders) & the opposing team pulled their goalie & returned up the ice & took a shot at Smith, he made the save but did not control the puck. from there the other team picked up the puck in the Islanders corner & attempted to pass it back to the point, which ended up missing the point man & thus scoring in their own net.
Ron Hextall was the first ever to score in the regular season by actually shooting the puck into the Bruins empty net when they pulled their goalie near the end of the game.
Since then Hextall in the playoffs,Brodeur, Chris Osgood & I believe Jose Theodore when he was in Montreal have all shot the puck & scored.

Goalies get points the same way as skaters, they make a pass (or handle the puck in some manner indicating control of the puck), or they can even score. They do not usually get many points because there are so many passes made in normal play, but it does happen, usually by the stronger puck-handleing goalies who will move the puck up ice quickly to try and catch the opposition during a line change. They have also been known to score, most often by shooting the puck down the ice when the opposition has "pulled" their goalie for the extra skater in an attempt to tie a game in the last minute or so of a game.

When 3 members of a team touch the puck and the 3rd one scores the other 2 get points too as assists.
When a goalie makes an up ice pass and he is one of the 2 he gets an assist.
A goalie did get credit for a goal once. The other team had an empty net because they need an extra skater to tie the game. The goalie got the puck and flicked it as far he could down the ice and it bounced off of the opposing teams player and went in. Since he was the last player to touch the puck he got credit for the goal.
Go Montreal Canadiens!!

Martin Brodeur actually has 2 goals to his credit, and actually did make attempts at the other net empty net or not. It's not as easy to do anymore with the trapizoid. As far as I remember Billy Smith of the Islanders was the first goalie to score a goal in a game, and Ron Hextall did it once or twice too.

Mainly through assists, if they are the one of the two guys on the team to touch the puck before the goalscorer shoots it in.

On the rarest occasion they may actually get a goal, but that's if there's an empty net on the other side and they're pretty accurate and daring.

passing the puck to a player and they score, or the net is empty and they shoot the puck and it goes in or if the goalie on the other team RELAY sux then he could shoot it and it goes in and last but not least if the goalie is the last person to touch the puck and it goes in the opponents net

The same as any other player does. Score or get an assist on someone elses goal-pass the puck to someone and they score or the person they pass to scores.
