Usually not. In most cases, a straight face just indicates a neutral / serious attitude. But on some people, it just looks mean. Example: Roger Federer. When he does not smile he just looks pissed off.

it can be, but it doesn't have to be, I have a straight face a lot, but I also smile a lot, and anyways, a person could be lost in thought and have a mean face(concentrating) and not be mad either. I wish we could tell what each other was feeling.

To do something "with a straight face" would be to show no emotion. If you were teasing someone, then you would talk without laughing or smiling.

Only in certain situations... for instance, if you told a joke and I glared at you with a straight face that would be mean.

Mine is. If I just sit with a straight, relaxed face, people think I look pissed off, when I'm really not.

I don't think it is, but people will always think something's wrong...

I think it's easier to force a smile than to keep saying "nothing" or "I'm fine" when people ask what's up.
