Teeny Boppers vote for him because they think he is cute. Of course, there are those few people who just like to mess with the system and vote for Sanjaya because they think it is funny.

I think people are voting for him to make a mockery of the show!
Sanjaya Malakar, 17, is from Federal Way, WA. He auditioned in Seattle with his sister, who was eliminated at the Hollywood stage of the competition. Sanjaya says he started singing as a little boy and had formal singing training.
Sanjaya, who spent four years performing with the Hawaii Children Theater, claims he is a shy person and says "I'm scared that I'll never be able to walk into a supermarket without someone recognizing me." His music idol is Stevie Wonder.

I don't know but he needed to be off like the 1st week. I would rather have his sister on there them him. To tell you the truth...I dont think I watch it becuase he is still on there. That is the worst person I have seen on there in the 5 years its been on.
