Three main things:

1. Try to think more like a scientist- always applying logic as much as possible
2. Be more sensitive to the needs of others, it’s often self centeredness that causes subjective feelings
3. Don’t believe everything you hear or read because much is not objective anyway

I’d say that’s most of it right there but you have to know how to apply it. For example, if you read about a person in the paper that is being run down try to consider if the person is really all that bad like they say. Try to consider their feelings about it. If you have a friend that is always running down some group that they don’t like try to think about the other side of the coin. Does your friend run down other groups like this and does your friend ever say anything good about this group? Of course the other way around is true too. Do you know people who are madly in love with only rich or good looking people? Doesn’t this seem a little shallow? Most of it is applying this type of thinking over the course of years but if more people would try to be objective the world would be a much better place to live.

If you're quick to answer and slow to think, think alot longer and speak after you've really thought about it. Step back and take a good look at the "whole picture".
