I think it's very pretty and if u are worried change the spelling or do something like Kathrine-ann ect....

I love it. Nothing wrong with common names. My name is Saber Emerson Li. And I am having a boy and a girl. I will named my son Darrius Jett Li. Jett with 2 "t" to honor one of my favorite martial artist Jet Li. And I will named my daughter Evangeline Belle Li. Belle as in Beauty and the Beast which I totally love that movie. I want her to feel like a beautiful princess. People told me these names are too extreme, but my darling and I loves them. So I think Katherine is a great name.

It's not too common - I love the name Katherine. It's dignified and feminine, and easy to pronounce and spell. You can call her Katie, Kat, Kathy, or Kate when she's younger, but it'll still look dignified when spelled out in full on a college diploma.
If you want to do something a little different, go for Kathleen, or Kathryn, or Kaylee, or Kylie.

I think that Kathrine is a very pretty name. Other alternatives for if you decide not to use the name Katherine, are: katy, amiee, hadley, Isabella, Nicole, Elisabeth, Anabella, Stacie, Olivia, Mara, Gabby, Linnea (pronounced: lynn-ay-a), Cayla, or Kendall

Not at all! I don't know of a single Kathrine! Now if you went with Hannah (which we did and regret it all the time!) that would be a different story. Katherine is a classic and beautiful name.

Yes, it's an old fashion catholic name. Try something more modern like Katie/Katelynn or Kaydence.

I think it is a very pretty name. I also think that Katherine used to be a fairly popular name but I don't think it really is anymore. You could always spell it differently.
