well I generally stop drinking once I have to chase after my shots,if my hand is getting away from me with the glass and I cant catch it I think I might just be drunk enough

I only mix my drinks:now I am having a rum/coke.
Port and wines dont get mixed ,but the sronger stuff does

Just beer and shots for me, I chase my shots with a cigarette.

Last time I mixed my drinks I (eventually) left most of them on the road in front of our house (and my daughter has the photos to prove it!).
So I'd say, follow the old maxim: "Liquor on beer, have no fear. Beer on liquor, makes you sicker."
