I think people are voting for him to make a mockery of the show!
Sanjaya Malakar, 17, is from Federal Way, WA. He auditioned in Seattle with his sister, who was eliminated at the Hollywood stage of the competition. Sanjaya says he started singing as a little boy and had formal singing training.
Sanjaya, who spent four years performing with the Hawaii Children Theater, claims he is a shy person and says "I'm scared that I'll never be able to walk into a supermarket without someone recognizing me." His music idol is Stevie Wonder.

Well if you ever heard of "Vote for the Worst" Its a website and i beilve a t.v show to Howard Stern (the guy wants this Sanjaya on idol) He keeps telling to keep Sanjaua in Idol thats why hes not kicked off.

That's not mean at all....you know what they say, truth hurts. I agree with you 110%, the only reason he is still on there is because he's getting all the sympathy votes from little Indian girls and old ladies that think he's so cute. It's sickening. He can't sing to save his life, in fact his performance last week was his best so far and it was still terrible!!
This is only my opinion, mind you. So any angry Sanjaya fans out there, extinguish your torches and leave me alone.

Yeah, I couldn't agree more. He's terrible x 1000000000000!!! Ew and that girl who got all that publicity for crying over him...what a joke. Wow big deal she cried over some awful singer. He reeeeeally needs to go...my neighbor told me that the indians or whatever his race is (and noooo im not racist everyone if it sounds like it) have a special way of callin in american idol and makins it register that the votes that are actually from another country are from the US...if that's true, he sadly may be on the show for a wholeeeeeeeeee lot longer....*gag*

The show is a joke. Might as well act like it...

I agree with you he is terrible and does not deserve the chance to be on American Idol the only reason why he is staying all beacuse of his hair! The only songs that I think he could sing would be Micheal Jackson songs.

YES! He should be gone already! I will admit that I liked him at first, but after Hollywood week I started not to like him. The only thing that is saving him is that people feel sorry for him and think that he's such a nice, sweet guy. www.votefortheworst.com is probably helping to.

He should have been kicked out. There's a website where you can vote for the worst candidate on almost every reality t.v. show. There's also probably a bunch of ten-year-old girls voting for him because they think he's cute.
