Well, to be honest, Katherine is a very common name. But since you like it so much, try and think of unique ways of spelliing it. Maybe, Kathryne, or Kathwryn, no that was a weird one sorry. Or Kathryn, oh gosh, I don't know. Similar names that come to mind are Katie, Karrie, Kathy, Katrina.I personally kind of like the name Kelsa, it's different. Well, good luck, I hope you decide on a name.

What about Katrina? That is close to Katherine but not quite there. You could also try different spellings like Kathryn or Catherine or something. It is a bit common, but if you like it that is what matters, right?

I was just talking to my daughter about that very name I said If I ever had a girl I would name her Katherine Anne and call her Katie! I adore the name!

My daughter is named Catharine Rose. I love it and in UK it is quite rare these days i am finding out. Just suits her though. Kathrine is nice. I lie it cause you can have many spellings for it. How about Katie-Anne?

Kaitlin is close and a very pleasant name. Kathleen is also nice.
However if you really like a name that you feel is too common, try added a middle name that is less often heard.

It is a nice name. But way tooooo common. I went to my boyfriend's sister's graduation. Her name is Katherine and there were like 50 other Katherines graduating too. I was like, I would never give my kid the same name as somebody else. That's got to suck. Jennifer. Nicole. Why make your kid plain and boring.

that is my name, and there are lots of people with that name, mine is spelt Katherine, and there are about 20 or more ways to spell it depending on how you look at it, it can be common or unusual.

i know 2 katherines of the top of my head and we get them mixed up a lot. so i think it's too common. something close would be Carina (my middle name, i'm biased)
