Plato and Socrates did not discuss the existence of God. They just assumed that it was true.

Aristotle used the ontological method of proving his existence. That is the first cause---to him a god had to start the first actions that created the universe

The earliest argument that we have for God's existence is found in Plato (Laws 10). He argues from the motion of the soul to the existence of God. Aristotle also employs an argument related to motion and employs teleological concepts to demonstrate that there is a prime mover that is unmoved. This mover is also the first cause. See Aristotle's Metaphysics.

Aristotle, Plato, and Socrates were all polytheistic. They did not believe in God, but in many gods and goddesses such as Zeus, Athena, Apollo, and Hades. Religion and philosophy are not sciences that can be wrong. That's why we are able to live among other relgions.
