pros-it gives you time to study for tests, and your grade will be better then if you dont do it

cons-it takes up time escpeciallly if you are given 3 hours of homework.

this is my own idea here r some off of a website

pros-homework provides an opportunity for students to be responsible for their own learning, and that homework is another opportunity for parents to participate in their child's education

im not sure what the cons r on this site but ill give it to u so u can read it.

Pros: You can review what the lesson is, And you can get some extra practice, and you can have a better idea what the lesson was... especially if you were daydreaming that period
Cons: It takes up a lot of our time, most Homework Assignments are boring, and most teachers overload kids/young adults with homework, so there is no free time for them. Also, it builds up a large amount of stress (for me) because of the due dates.
Personally, I've been overloaded with HW since the 2nd grade (Elementary) and I have built up a lot of unneccesary stress, and fear of strict teachers.

Pros: Homework helps to reinforce learning that you get in the classroom. It's supposed to help you commit facts and formulas better to memory. Transfering short-term knowledge into long-term knowledge. Teaches you to deal with time management, making time for school work, friends, family, jobs.

Cons: None. It's just a pain in the butt.

pros: It reviews what you learned that day
cons: waaaaay too much time is taken up (for me, I'm stuck doing homework for 5 hours minimum after a 8.5 hour school day.)

homework can help you see if you kn ow what is going on in your class, the bad thing is that some schools, including mine, won't let you do it in school because it is " home" work
