If you don't feel better soon, I would make an appointment to see the doctor asap. After a blow to the head, you MUST talk to your doctor if you have any of the following signs of concussion:
Headache
Vision disturbance
Dizziness
Loss of balance
Confusion
Memory loss (called amnesia)
Ringing ears
Difficulty concentrating
Nausea
The usual treatment for a concussion is rest. If you have a headache, you can usually take acetaminophen - but no aspirin. Aspirin increases the chance of bleeding, so always ask your doctor or a pharmacist before taking any medicine.
You should never return to play while you have any signs of concussion, like headache or dizziness. If your concussion is very mild, you may be allowed to return to play after 15 or 20 minutes. If you have memory loss or loss of consciousness, you may not be able to return to play for 1 to 2 weeks. After a severe concussion, you may not be able to return to play for a month. If this wasn't your first concussion, your return to play may take even longer.
So don't take a chance....don't return to soccer or any other sports until you've been checked out.
I hope this helps, and that your headache goes away soon.

How does the trainer know it's a concussion and not a fracture, did you get checked out at the hospital, you should have been. They probably would tell you to ice your head, take tylonel for the pain, and take it easy but don't go to sleep for 2-4 hours, if you feel groggy and want to sleep, walk around and make sure you eat light at dinnertime, sometimes with concussions the headache makes you sick to your stomach so it's prob not a good idea to eat alot if it could come back up. For the rest of the night when you do go to bed at night, have someone check in on you to make sure you are ok. The headache should be better tomorrow, but I would follow up with your doctor if it's not because it could be a spinal (neck) injury too that causes the headaches and that would need to be addressed too.

your trainer should be kicked unless he is medically trained .
If he didnt want youu to sleep and checked every couple hours is good advice . Horrible headache might be because of the knock you took or an indication of something else.
Anyone who has lost consciousness after a blow to the head should be seen by a doctor
Go see your doctor.

You could have a bleed in your brain. Go to the ER. With a headache like that, you will need a CT scan to tell if you have a bleed/ brain swelling. That could be very dangerous/ deadly. Hopefully it's nothing, but you don't know for sure without the proper diagnostics. We see bleeds all the time in the ER for injuries one wouldn't think would cause a bleed (IE falling out of bed, kids accidentally bumping heads). Hope everything's ok though.

You need to see the doctor. And yeah, I wouldn't sleep without someone close. You may go to sleep and never wake up.
