I have a tool called FastStone Screen Capture Tool. Its a version not on their web site anymore v1.6. It can clear all, temp IE files, cookies, typed URLs, and browsing hist. Just a simple click and confirm.

One mistake

Deleting cookies is not the answer:

Internet Explorer

↓ Internet properties
↓ General Tab
↓ Browsing history
↓ Delete History
↓ Delete Forms

To get to Internet properties

↓ Tools
↓ Internet Options

FireFox

↓ Tools
↓ Clear Private Data
↓ Tick Forms
↓ Tick Browsing History

And you are done

If using Internet Explorer

Open Internet explorer and select Tools and then Internet options
Click the Content tab.
Select Auto complete and making sure that “Web addresses is checked” (by default it will be) click the clear forms button.

Uncheck the Box if you do no wish internet explorer to save your searches..

Not too sure but have you tried deleting your history, temporarily internet files and cache?

Tools > internet options > delete cookies then click on delete files, then click clear history.
