Ok,the next question you need would be"ok,I now know the groups, what SONGS by them would be good"

Go put the name in the search when you download.....and choose the songs with the top number downloaded......Those will be the BEST songs (most often) by that group! Good luck, your gonna like what you hear buddy!!

For some new music that sounds somewhat like The Doors, check out The Tea Party. The singer sounds a lot like Jim Morrison. Their album called Tangents is a singles collection, that would be a good place to start. Try the song Save Me. (My personal fave is Fire In The Head).

i'm a huge fan of the doors so if you have the same taste as me (which is mostly hippyish and 60s-70s) then you'll love the following bands:

-the beatles - you know the classics but if you like weird psychadelic music like the doors you'll love 'lucy in the sky with diamonds', 'i am the walrus' + 'sgt. pepper's lonely hearts club band' cuz they were high at that period of music like the doors lol

-the who - esp. 'baba o'riley', 'my generation', 'won't get fooled again' + 'who are you'

-lynyrd sknyrd definitely! (esp. 'free bird', 'simple man' and 'sweet home alabama')

-the kinks (jim morrison loved the kinks as well) - esp. 'you really got me' + 'all day and all night' which looks a lot like 'hello i love you' by the doors

-the rolling stones (esp. 'she's a rainbow', 'satisfaction' + 'angie')

-janis joplin (jim morrison would get really drunk with her) - esp. 'mercedes benz'

-the clash (it's punk but awsome!) - 'london calling', 'should i stay or should i go' + 'rock the casbah'

-led zep (esp. 'stairway to heaven' of course!)

-love (jim's favorite band)

-aerosmith (esp. 'walk this way' + 'dream on' + 'sweet emotion')

-AC/DC more rock'n'roll (esp. 'highway to hell' + 'hells bells')

-steppenwolf (esp. 'born to be wild'+ 'magic carpet ride')

-simon and garfunkel (esp. 'mrs. robinson')

-nirvana (esp. 'come as you are', 'smells like teen spirit' + 'rape me')

-U2 (more recent bands) - 'with or without you' + 'vertigo' + 'sunday bloody sunday'

hope this helped! :] and the doors rock! they top all the bands in the world but i'm sure you'll like these bands anyway.
