Apparently New Line want to make the Hobbit - preferably whilst they can still use some of the Lord of The Rings cast. I hear they want filming to start in 2008.
Peter Jackson is suing New Line over money he says he did not get via DVD sales for the Fellowship of the Ring.
New Line have said they cannot imagine signing a Director to make a film for them who is suing them for breach of contract.
Let's hope Peter Jackson and New Line can settle their differences and get the Hobbit made. It'd be a shame if they messed it up after the Lord of The Rings Trilogy was so great.

There is a Hobbit movie in the works, but Peter Jackson will most likely not be directing it. In fact, there is a rumor going around that Sam Raimi, the director of the Spider-man movies, might take up the reigns for this. Go onto IGN.com, look on the left side of the home page and go to Movies, then look again on the left and go to The Hobbit for more info

A Hobbit film is in production but Peter Jackson denied that he has any involvement in it, he did before but now has pulled out. In my opinion, it will be the worst prequel top ever come out
