REASON (1) They are all paid too much by their clubs and don't want to risk losing their place in club team by getting injured playing for national side.
REASON(2) They all believe they are as good as they read in the Sunday papers when half the time they would not get in most top flight national teams.
REASON (3) It is no longer the honour it once was to play for the national team
REASON(4) They are all too busy living the life of superstars and dating pop-stars and film stars and doing megabucks adverts for the highest bidder.
REASON (5) The manager could not motivate a team of under twelves let alone a national team
REASON (6) The ,manager has not got the foggiest about who should play were and what they are or are not capable of doing against opponents of different quality.
We are also too busy worrying about the way others play instead of playing the way we are used to and letting the opponents worry about us.

Few reasons:
1> Mclaren & rafa with the same problem, PLAY GERRARD IN CENTRAL AND NOT AS A RIGHT WINGER!!
2> Too many chelsea players dominate the team! Terry, Lampard, Joe cole, Ashley cole!
3> Play a full stregnth team, dont keep trying new players if you are looking to qualify!
4> Over confidence
5> Trying to prove that they can play without beckham
6> Lampard trying to be like GERRARD which he can never be!
7> Rooney gets hypered real early Raging at other players

Many reasons and most of them concerning our manager. Why was Lennon playing on the left? He could've done far more damage on the right. Gerrard and Lampard should be given a free role because they can do great damage that way. The way Hargreaves, Lampard, Ferdinand, Carragher, Rooney, and Johnson played today was unacceptable. They looked like a bunch 10 year olds running around and kicking a ball.

It's all because most of the team is made up of the members of EPL's top competative clubs and they are not willing to put their league rivalry aside for their country which is a disgrace. rooney, rio and nevile are from manU which is currently topping the EPL and on the other side there's terry, lampard, and the coles who are in chelsea and are just behind manU and what do u kno theres also gerrard from liverpool which is third in the league!!! All of these players and clubs have huge rivalrys between them so they do not bond well together.

a) may be they don't have enough time together as a team, like understanding each other's play, knowing the strength and weakness of your team-mate...even though they are professionals, but still at times during play one has to make a pass without even looking...that's the understanding that you have of your team-mate's position when making that pass...
b) they're getting used to play with other foreign players during club matches and when the crunch time of international comes, they are lost coz they don't seem to find the rythm or the combination...
