Ive been working on a monologue for a theatre workshop. How is this?
"Okay... so i know i was supposed to have a monologue prepared and stuff... but i kinda... well sorta... just uh... let me explane. So for the past two weeks i... okay, actually last night, i was tring to write a monologue, full of passion! Then BAM! it hit me. Romance. So.. as i wrote my first few sentences... i realized... i dont know squat about romance. Actually, the only semi-romantic thing that ever happened to me was my first date. If you even want to call it a date. Technically, im not allowed to date till im "16" Buut, EVERYONE in my school calls it a date, so why not. Lets call it a date. Okay, anyway, me and my boyfriend Steve had just taken me out to the movies, and we were walking home. So... once we were at my porch, i could just guess what was going to happen (ive seen it in all of those stupid love movies) so... well... we kind of just stood there for a minuite.

So finally, i just closed my eyes and leaned in. But... after about a 15 seconds of standing there doing nothing, i opened my eyes, and catch a glimpse of steve running away. So then, i turned around, and saw my old man standing behind me. So thats about the most romatic thing thats ever happened to me. Oh yeah, and steve transfered to some all boy school after that... Anyway, after i trashed the romance idea, i though of something elce. Something dark... death. But... i uh... actually havent had much experience with death. The only time i can remember, is when my pet fish, swimmie died. Or as my mom put it "ran away." I believed her untill i saw swimmie belly up in my toilet. After that, i was tramatised for days. So when i went to therapy... what? Uh... what do you mean Next? Ahem! Im standing right here! This is horrible! The way you directors are. Humph. Im NEVER EVER going to act again, and its ALL YOUR FAULT! (storm of, then run back on) ...im still up for that lead role.. right?

Lol. I just typed that up from memory. Its actually a bit longer and more descriptive, but i only had 2000 words to type it on yahoo questions :P

It would turn out cute if you'd improve it a little. It seems like it has too many gaps. Keep working on it!
