So Oprah had this book on her popular US show. Rhonda Bryne is the author of the Secret. I've seen the movie, but I'm wondering what other people think. Do you think it works? Are there any sucess stories?

Ok, I just answered this on another question but I have to respond here as well...I feel a duty to spread the gospel of common sense.. OF COURSE NOT! Come on, people! These people are laughing their butts off at you for spending your $$ buying their books. I missed it on Oprah but I got the gist from reading about it on her site. Obviously, I think it is a load of crap. If I put out positive energy, things will come to me...maybe, but I think that's more because people will like you and want to help you rather than energy waves. And how can you prove it? If things don't come to me, they will just say "you weren't positive enough". And doesn't that mean anyone with mental issues like depression are genetically screwed? It's REAL easy for people who are successful to tell you "the secret" works. But how do they know it wasn't just luck or any number of other factors? In my experience, luck plays a reasonable-sized role in becoming successful - right place, right time. People will believe anything - i.e., where I put my trash basket will affect my love life. I have some "energy-producing" rocks to sell to anyone who buys this garbage.

I think the Secret is very powerful and will change your life in a positive way if u use it positively.
