Which of the following could be the side lengths in a right triangle?

The Pythagorean Theorem says the sum of the squares of the legs of a right triangle equals the square of the hypotenuse (the longest side of the triangle). a^2 + b^2 =c^2
a) 3^2 + 4^2 does not equal 6^2
b) 15^2 + 8^2 does equal 17^2
c) 12^2 + 5^2 does equal 13^2
d) 8^2 + 9^2 does not equal 11^2

right triangle can be more like 13m 5m and 12m cuz 12squared plus 5 squared equals 13squared
144 + 25= 169 = 169

In a right triangle: A sq. + Bsq. = Csq. Take the square roots of each dimension and work it out. Can't do it all for you!

The answer is B. Because 15sq + 8sq = 289. When you get the square root of 289, the answer is 17. There's your answer.
