One memory stands out above all the rest, when I was around 14 my dog caught the rabbis from a wild animal and I had no choice but to shoot him. His name was Yellow and everyone was so upset and---Wait just a minute, that was on T.V. wasn't it, MY BAD..

Although there were times in my childhood that were absolutely horrible because my parents fought a lot and went through a rough divorce when I was 14, most of my memories were happy. I had good self esteem when I was young (contrasting that with my current situation...) and had friends that I loved and two siblings I loved too. I loved school too; I was creative and enjoyed my hobbies. And I did a lot of fun things with my friends and family back then. I often romanticize how nice things seemed - and were - back then, sometimes to the detriment of my current situation, in which I'm in my late 30s, I have no friends, no spouse, no self esteem, no happiness and right now, no job!

I really don't know. It's kinda like a toss up between both. For some parts of my childhood I did feel happy, but for the most parts of it, I was emotionally and physically abused as well. Abandoned, neglected, rejected and wasted by my own biological parents. It's hard to say. I mean, behind the happiness that I received when I was a child there were also so many many hideous things hid behind like a snake hiding and slithering underneath the golden sand. You know what I mean?

I had more happy times, but there were some real sad memories and scary ones too.

Mostly happy. I had a few disappointments growing up, but who didn't? The good memories far outweigh the bad.

Happy memories, which makes me sad because life was so much better back then.

Sad/bad...yes... born Christmas Day.... family gatherings were centered on Christmas and more than once my birthday was totally forgotten... not a card nor a "Happy Birthday" from anyone including parents. Delighted they do not remember now, but at 10 or 12, it hurt.

Mostly sad memories, and lots of anger. My parents divorced and after that they kept trying to get rid of me. I used to feel really sorry for myself, but now I'm on my own and am having a great time! Honor thy father and thy mother? Sure! Just as soon as they honor me.
