When I was 12 and in the sixth grade we used to get daily lessons in Spanish over the school's public address system (yes, I went to school in the Dark Ages). These were reinforced by our classroom teachers who needed "flash" cards for vocabulary. Because I was artistic, I was commissioned to make several sets (of 20-30 pictures) at 25 cents per card.
That was my very first paying job (and practically the first money I ever got because we never got an allowance in my family. Money was tight and we were expected to work around the house as part of our contribution to the family.)
I thought I was rich!

I was a trained assasin for the Red Cross, and I was darned good at my job too... until that fateful day, in the frigid depths beneath the frozen wall of Antartica, where I came across a secret so powerful and stunning that it haunts me to this day.

I'm 16 and I just got a job at Steak n Shake as a waitress. I'm a little nervous and I'm not sure how I'll handle "serving others."

Taco Hell when I was 16. I fried the taco shells. I hated it and quit after 3 months.
