The Holiday. While both were outright fantasy and fiction, The Holiday was cheerful and upbeat while The Prestige was gloomy and depressing.

The Prestige by a mile! I think The Prestige is the poor man's version of The Illusionist, but it's still a decent flick. The Holiday, however, was crap. I wanted to gouge my eyes out during certain scenes. Winslet & Law did the best they could with their parts, but Diaz & Black were horrible. Had other actors been cast in their parts, the movie would still have been crap.

i guess it all depends on what kind of mood your in. i haven't seen the holiday yet but by the looks of it, it looks like a romantic comedy, so if your looking for something funny and a love story involved then go for the holiday. but if your in the action/suspenseful mood i would say go for the prestige. i saw the prestige and i liked it a lot! hope this helps.

They are very different movies.
I think if you are looking for something relaxing or fun, The Holiday is a much better bet. It is also especially fulfilling. I found The Prestige frought with error, as did many others.

omg they are both SO GOOD! the holiday is more of a "lay-back romance and a little comedy" type of movie. and the prestige kinda confusing but a really good plot. i saw them both but if i had to choose the holiday is better. (could be becuz im a girl) <3

Hi,
I just rented the Holiday last night and i watched it and thought that it was a true love story and wished that something like that would happen to me.
The Prestige is also good.
It really depends what kind of mood that you are in.

the prestige was good. i havent seen the holiday, but it seems too predictable...so i would say to watch the prestige.
