I hope so, or else I wasted my money on another set of season tickets this year.
Seriously though, my prediciton is if A-Rod doesn't play phenominal this season by the All Star Break, I think the Yankees will trade him before he can option out at the end of the season. I'm sure the Yanks will want to get some decent players for A-Rod, which wouldn't be a problem.
And, for the record, I do NOT think A-Rod is a bad ballplayer. He is bad for the amount of money he makes. He should be playing better. If he was a normal ball player, he would considered great. But because of the big bucks he gets, he will be criticized.

Anytime your ready to step off the short bus and have a look at reality his career numbers will be their waiting for you! He did have an off year though! All his numbers were down so of course he will have a better year. Unless he has begun to be affected by the fact that he is the best shortstop in baseball and he plays third base. Bumped over by the most overrated player ever. If that is the problem his numbers wont change from last year, but if you look at third basemen around the league his 06 numbers don't look so bad. This time next year you fairweather Yankee fans will be complaining about someone else. Although I can guarantee it wont be your precious Jeter even if he bats 200 and burns down Yankee Stadium due to combustible flatulence!

Some Yankee fan you are!! Your not a true Yankee fan,,I like the way you say Arod chokes in the playoffs! But you don't mention how the Moose couldn't even hold on to a 3-1 lead,You didn't mention,That NONE of our 28 players could even get a hit of any of the Tigers Pitching! You didn't mention how our, Whole team chocked in the 2004 playoffs with boston,And we were 3 games up!! Stop blaming Arod for all our failures,It takes a team playing as a Team to win Championships!! Oh yes And outstanding pitching!!

AROD will start playing better when he is playing SS again. Whether that is in New York or another city is entirely up to Derek Jeter.
I guess that would make the ultimate answer....When Derek Jeter stops being so selfish.
